No experience is required at all. Tandem paragliding means you fly secured in a harness alongside a certified professional pilot who manages every aspect of the flight — from launch to landing. Your only role is to relax, enjoy the views, and take it all in.
Tandem paragliding with MauTravel is conducted exclusively with fully certified, experienced professional pilots using regularly inspected and approved safety equipment. All flights are weather-dependent and will only proceed when conditions are assessed as safe by your pilot. Your safety is the absolute priority at every step.
Wear comfortable, close-fitting clothing appropriate for the weather. Sturdy closed-toe shoes — trainers or walking shoes — are strongly recommended. Avoid scarves, loose layers, or flowing garments. Sunglasses with a secure strap and sunscreen are advisable. Your pilot will provide any additional pre-flight guidance.
Children may participate subject to minimum age, weight, and health requirements. We recommend contacting MauTravel directly via WhatsApp with your child's age and weight before booking so we can confirm eligibility and advise accordingly.
The complete experience — including the ascent to the take-off site, equipment fitting, safety briefing, and the flight itself — typically takes between 45 minutes and 2 hours depending on the location chosen. The actual paragliding flight lasts approximately 15–25 minutes.
Your pilot and the MauTravel team monitor wind and weather conditions carefully ahead of every flight. If conditions are not suitable on your scheduled date, we will contact you promptly to reschedule to the next available date at no additional charge.
We strongly recommend securing all personal belongings before take-off. Phones and cameras must be attached with a wrist strap or mounted on a secure harness. Your pilot will advise on what is safe to carry. A professional photo and video package may be available on request — please enquire when booking.
